Renesas and BlackBerry have expanded their partnership to offer an integrated virtualization, functional safety and secure development environment for the Renesas R-Car system-on-chip (SOC) devices, the two partners said in a joint press release on 23 October. The new development environment will enable automotive cockpit system designers to quickly develop advanced cockpit systems and improve the user experience, according to Renesas.
