BMW extends contract with INRIX for driver services in North American market through 2020

The extended contract will enable INRIX to supply Intermodal Navigation and EV Range Spider services for BMW electric vehicles

BMW has extended its contract with INRIX to offer the latter’s driving services such as real-time traffic, travel alerts and online routing in its vehicles in North America, the US-based connected car service provider said in a press release on 23 October. BMW’s ConnectedDrive with Real Time Traffic Information, powered by INRIX network of more than 300 connected vehicles and devices, provides drivers with real-time and predictive traffic for routes, travel times, accidents and incident alerts.
