The two software companies will help the German carmaker roll out software stack within the autonomous driving platform to third parties

BMW has selected KPIT and TTTech as its software development partners for autonomous driving solutions, the German carmaker said in a press release on 24 October. The company expects its collaboration with India-based KPIT and Austria-based TTTech to help it press ahead with the scalable autonomous driving platform and to work together on the development of Level 3 to Level 5 autonomous driving functions. The two software companies will help BMW roll out the software stack within the autonomous driving platform to third parties. This will make it easier to integrate other OEMs and begin offering scalable software solutions across the industry, according to BMW.
