Lyft acquires Blue Vision Labs to reinforce focus on autonomous driving

Blue Vision Labs has developed AR software technology that can pinpoint people and other moving objects within centimeters of their actual locations

Lyft has acquired UK-based augmented reality (AR) start-up Blue Vision Labs, Peter Ondruska, co-founder and CEO of Blue Vision Labs, announced on Medium, an online publishing platform, this week. Established in 2016 by Ondruska and four other graduates of the Oxford University and Imperial College London, Blue Vision Labs has developed AR software technology that can pinpoint people and other moving objects to within centimeters of their actual locations. Blue Vision Labs will become part of ‘Lyft Level 5, the self-driving division of the US-based ride-sharing company.
