Toyota, TRI-AD, Tokio Marine & Nichido form business alliance to develop automated driving technology
The alliance is aimed at improving safety and reliability of automated driving vehicles using knowledge and data of Tokio Marine & Nichido through its insurance claims and other services
Toyota and its subsidiary Toyota Research Institute- Advanced Development (TRI-AD) have partnered with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance to jointly develop advanced automated driving technology, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on 30 October. The alliance will aim to improve safety and reliability of automated driving vehicles using knowledge and data of Tokio Marine & Nichido through its insurance claims and other services.
