Waymo gets permit to test driverless car on California roads
First company to receive permit from California DMV to test driverless vehicles on the state’s public roads
Waymo has received permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test its self-driving cars without safety drivers on the state’s public roads, the company said in a blog posted on Medium. The company will test its driverless test vehicles in certain areas of Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos Hills and Palo Alto.
