SAIC teams up with China Mobile to produce 5G internet vehicle

Two companies to set up a lab for the joint development of intelligent hardware, platforms and data services for smart driving and parking

SAIC Motor has signed an agreement with China Mobile Communication to collaborate in multiple areas such as 5G communications network, internet-based smart vehicles, intelligent transportation system (ITS), in-vehicle entertainment system and overseas resources coordination, the Chinese automaker said in a press release earlier this month. The two partners will also work together to develop the first 5G internet vehicle for mass production.
