For some time now, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) have been viewed as a bridge between conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicles and pure electric vehicles (EVs). They have witnessed sustained growth over the past five or so years as products have come to market since they offer owners both the consistency of conventional drivetrains and the excitement of electric drivetrains.
