CES 2019: Honda to showcase connected car concepts
Honda Innovation will also demonstrate new concept developed through its two open innovation programs
Honda will demonstrate connected car concepts at the CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada (United States), next month, the company said in a press release on 11 December. The Japanese automaker will display SAFE SWARM concept that enables vehicles to wirelessly communicate with surrounding vehicles and share key information such as location and speed, using vehicle to everything (V2X) communication. With this information, along with the sensor suite on the vehicle, the driver or automated vehicle system can determine the safest course of action in merging with traffic or avoiding a road hazard. The SAFE SWARM concept, developed by Honda R&D, is expected to contribute to safer driving experience.
