Ford recalls 874,000 F-150, Super Duty vehicles in North America to replace engine block heater cable
According to the automaker, the safety risk exists only when the vehicle is parked and the block heater cable is plugged into an electrical outlet
Ford is recalling 874,000 units of model year (MY) 2015 through MY 2019 F-150 pickup trucks and MY 2017 through MY 2019 Super Duty vehicles to replace engine block heater cable due to fire risk, the company said in a press release on 21 December. The recall includes 410,289 vehicles in the United States and federal territories and 410,793 vehicles in Canada.
