Bose introduces ‘QuietComfort’ road noise control technology for sound management in vehicles
New solution uses a combination of accelerometers, signal-processing software, microphones and the vehicle’s audio system to electronically control unwanted sound
Bose has introduced ‘QuietComfort’ road noise control (RNC) for automotive applications, the company said in a press release. The solution helps automakers minimize unwanted sound in the vehicle cabin caused by driving over rough roads, grooved concrete and uneven pavement. It uses a combination of accelerometers, proprietary signal-processing software, microphones and the vehicle’s audio system to electronically control unwanted sound. Bose plans to collaborate with automakers during the vehicle development to offer customized QuietComfort into the car.
