The platform will offer HD TV broadcasting, HD map updates and V2X certificate management using Sinclair Broadcast ‘s terrestrial digital broadcasting facilities

SK Telecom and Harman have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the US-based television broadcasting company Sinclair Broadcast Group to jointly develop and commercialize digital broadcasting network-based automotive technology for the global market, Sinclair Broadcast said in a press release. Under the agreement, the three partners will jointly build an advanced automotive platform based on ASTC 3.0 (Advanced Television Systems Committee), the next-generation broadcasting standard technology standard, to enable drivers experience in-vehicle highly digital (HD) terrestrial TV broadcasting, HD map and vehicle to everything (V2X) certificate management.
