BorgWarner expands powertrain facility in India
The US-based company will produce engine timing and variable cam timing systems for Indian automotive market
BorgWarner has opened its expanded manufacturing plant in Kakkalur, Tamil Nadu (India), the US-based automotive supplier said in a press release on 29 January. The 43,300 square-meter plant is equipped with advanced design, simulation, testing and manufacturing capabilities, and houses a highly skilled engineering team to support customers from initial design through production. The plant will produce engine timing and variable cam timing (VCT) systems to help its customers meet upcoming Bharat Stage (BS-VI) emission norms in the Indian automotive market.
