Tesla delivers 140,000 Model 3 EVs in 2018
Electric carmaker aims to begin production of Model Y electric SUV by the end of 2020
Tesla reported strong jump in delivery of its Model 3 electric car in 2018 after the company started volume production of the entry-level car in late 2017. According to the latest shareholder letter by the US-based electric vehicle (EV) make, published on 30 January 2018, Tesla delivered nearly 140,000 Model 3 electric cars, compared to just 1,542 units in 2017.
