Mahindra launches app-based EV taxi service ‘Glyd’ in Indian city Mumbai
Automaker will own Glyd brand while fleet will be owned by the third-party companies and drivers
Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched ‘Glyd’, an app-based electric car sharing service in Mumbai, Maharashtra (India), Moneycontrol.com reported on 25 February. Pawan Goenka, managing director of M&M launched the service by flagging off the first batch of 10 Mahindra e-Verito all-electric sedans which will initially operate on select routes of the city. The new service will serve will operate in areas such as Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Lower Parel in Mumbai and will mainly target office going executives.
