Toshiba develops new image recognition SOC for automotive applications
New SOC integrates Toshiba’s deep neural network (DNN) hardware IP
Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has announced the development of a new image recognition system-on-chip (SOC) - Visconti5- for automotive applications that implements deep learning accelerator at 10 times the speed and four times the power efficiency of Toshiba’s previous product, according to a company press release on 26 February.
