WISeKey’s ISTANA PKI platform allows automakers to validate authenticity of different vehicle components, protect onboard communication between components, and provide OTA software updates

WISeKey has entered a permanent license agreement with Daimler to provide certain components of its ISTANA PKI (public key infrastructure) platform, the Switzerland-based cybersecurity specialist said in a press release last week. WISeKey’s ISTANA PKI platform, launched in December 2017, allows automakers to validate authenticity of different vehicle components.
