GM Cruise plans to double headcount by end of 2019

To accommodate new employees, Cruise has leased a new office in San Francisco

Cruise, the autonomous driving subsidiary of GM, plans to hire 1,000 more people over the next nine months, Reuters reported on 11 March citing a company’s spokesman. “We have plans to double in size by the end of this year,” said Cruise’s spokesman Ray Wert. According to Wert, majority of new hires will be engineers.
