The three-year scheme is aimed at promoting EV adoption and development of EV manufacturing ecosystem in the country

Government of India has approved setting up of an inter-ministerial empowered committee, called ‘Project Implementation and Sanctioning Committee’ (PISC) to monitor projects under second phase of its 'Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India’ (FAME India) scheme, according to a government notification on 11 March.
