Volkswagen, Amazon Web Services partner to develop ‘Industrial Cloud’
German automaker selects Siemens as its integration partner for the Industrial Cloud
Volkswagen Group (VW) has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to jointly develop ‘Volkswagen Industrial Cloud’ the Germany-based automaker said in a press release last week. The Industrial Cloud will combine data of the automotive group’s 122 plants, machines and systems to improve production systems and processes. In the longer term, the cloud will also integrate over 30,000 facilities of over 1,500 suppliers and partners.
