Ford launches SYNC+ in-vehicle infotainment system in China
US automaker will start offering SYNC+ IVI system in locally-built Ford and Lincoln vehicles later this year
Ford has launched a new in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system built specifically for the Chinese automotive market, the company said in a press release on 3 April. The new IVI system, called SYNC+ is powered by Baidu’s artificial intelligence (AI). The US automaker will start offering SYNC+ IVI system in locally-built Ford and Lincoln vehicles later this year. The company will offer its new IVI system in different sizes ranging from 12.3-inch to 12.8-inch, depending on the vehicle.
