FAW, Nokia to collaborate on smart connected cars
Nokia will provide a trial 5G network as well as security, big data, cloud and 5G slicing technology to the Chinese automaker
Nokia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chinese automaker FAW Group to conduct joint research in smart connected cars, industrial internet of things (IIOT), smart manufacturing and digital transformation, the Finnish telecommunication company said in a press release. Under the agreement, Nokia will provide a trial 5G network as well as security, big data, cloud and 5G slicing technology to the Chinese automaker. The company will deploy a 5G trial network on FAW’s Changchun campus in China to support research and development (R&D) in autonomous driving and connected car applications.
