BEV segment saw the strongest growth in sales of 63.3% y/y to 1,517 units and accounted for 0.9% of total car sales

Sales of electrified vehicles, which includes battery electric vehicle (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and hybrid petrol and hybrid diesel electric vehicles, in the United Kingdom has witnessed a growth of 12.9% year-on-year (y/y) to 10,249 units in April, according to figures released by Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on 7 May.
