Nissan to equip new Skyline with next-gen driver assistance system ProPILOT 2.0
To engage the ProPILOT 2.0, the driver will have to first set their destination in the navigation system and create a predefined travel route
Nissan has announced plans to equip its new Skyline for the Japanese market with its next generation driver assistance system, the automaker said in a press release today (16 May). The system called ProPILOT 2.0 combines navigated highway driving with hands off single lane driving capabilities. The new system relies on a combination of cameras, radars, sonars, GPS and HD maps to provide 360-degree information of the surrounding environment. It uses audio and visual alerts to notify the driver about the right time for the navigated driving and when the driver should take over the driving.
