Automatic emergency braking fitment on the rise in US, NHTSA study finds
Toyota remained the market leader with 90% of its all new vehicle produced with AEB
More new vehicles in the United States come equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, according to data published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) on 13 March. According to reporting submitted by the 20 automakers, who has committed to equip their all new vehicles with AEB by 1 September 2022, about half of the vehicle produced during the period were equipped with AEB. This was a significant increase from less than a third for the previous year.
