Aurora Innovation acquires lidar supplier Blackmore
Blackmore is developing Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) lidar which can measure distance with high dynamic range and instant velocity
Aurora Innovation has acquired Blackmore Sensors & Analytics, a US-based start-up developing lidar solution for autonomous driving, the company said in a blog on Medium on 24 May. The two companies have not disclosed the details of the acquisition. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Aurora’s capability in autonomous driving.
