Association expects C-V2X direct communication to be commercially available this year

The 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) held a live demonstration event in Berlin (Germany) last week to showcase progress in cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) communications, the association said in a press release on 23 May. The event was participated by 5GAA members including BMW, Daimler, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Deutsche Telecom, Fraunhofer Institutes FOKUS and ESK, Huawei, Nokia, Qualcomm and Vodafone demonstrated vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-network (V2N) applications.
