New chip helps designers add CAN FD without changing microcontroller, reducing design and time to market for in-vehicle networks

Texas Instruments (TI) has launched an automotive system basis chip (SBC) - TCAN4550-Q1, which the company claims to be the industry’s first to integrate a controller and transceiver for Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD), according to a company press release on 11 June
