METRO to operate EasyMile EZ10 driverless shuttle in US city Houston under pilot program
TSU wishes to see through the trial if driverless vehicles can be used in situations such as picking up riders in their neighborhood and dropping them off at transit centers
Last month, METRO started operating a driverless shuttle at the Texas Southern University (TSU) in Houston, United States, Housten Public Media reported. The shuttle, EasyMile EZ10, is transporting students and staff along TSU’s Tiger Walk. The shuttle has six seats and standing space for six more passengers. While the shuttle drive by itself, it has an operator on board who can manually stop the vehicle in case there is any problem.
