Mercedes-Benz recalls 659 vehicles in US over driveshaft separation risk
In affected vehicles, the bonding between the carbon-fiber driveshaft and engine/transmission flange may not be sufficient and could cause the driveshaft to separate while in motion, increasing risk of crash
Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA), the US subsidiary of the Germany automaker Daimler, will recall 659 units of model year 2016-2017 AMG GTS in the United States over driveshaft separation risk, according to the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
