Via has launched its first public autonomous vehicle (AV) service called BusBot as a pilot program in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, the company said in a press release last week. The company has partnered with local bus operator Busways, Transport for NSW and France-based driverless shuttle manufacturer EasyMile for the new AV pilot. BusBot will serve the Marian Grove Retirement Village in Toormina, a suburbs of Coffs Harbour.
