Aptiv’s Q2 net income declines 5.8% y/y to USD274 million on lower sales
Company expects full-year sales in the range of USD14.5 billion to USD14.7 billion
Aptiv has reported 5.8% year-over-year (y/y) decline in net income to USD274 million in the second quarter ended 30 June 2019, the company said in a press release on 31 July. The US-based supplier also recorded 20.4% y/y drop in operating income to USD335 million. Adjusted for currency exchange, commodity movements and divestures, the company’s sales increased 4% in the second quarter. Aptiv’s earnings came under pressure in the second quarter as net sales fell marginally by 1.5% y/y to USD3.63 billion. The company reported adjusted operating income of USD405 million, down 14.5% y/y.
