Japanese automaker is focusing mainly on smart interaction technology that links information from the street to the car equipped with on-board computers

Honda is testing vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication technology in Ohio, United States, Automotive News reported on 6 August. One of the key focus of the Japanese automaker’s trials in Ohio is smart intersection technology. According to Sue Bai, chief engineer of automotive technology at Honda R&D Americas, more than 20% of the traffic fatalities occur around intersection. "If we can fix this problem, we can save hundreds of people's lives every year,” Automotive News reported Bai as saying.
