Chinese self-driving vehicle start-up WeRide form JV with Baiyun, SCI Group for robo-taxi services
Second company in China after Baidu to launch self-driving robo-taxi services
WeRide has formed a joint venture (JV) with Baiyun Taxi Group and SCI (Guangzhou) Group to jointly develop self-driving robo-taxi services, the Chinese startup said in a press release on 7 August. The JV company, WeRide RoboTaxi, is headquartered in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong province in Southeast China.
