Toyota recalls 191,000 vehicles in Japan, North America over defective airbag
Latest recall involves the replacement airbags that were installed after the Takata airbag recall
Toyota is recalling 191,000 vehicles in Japan and North America to fix defective airbags which may not inflate properly in a crash, Associated Press reported on 28 August. The recall covers certain model year 2003 through 2008 Corolla compact sedans and 2005 through 2008 Matrix hatchbacks. Of the total 191,000 vehicles being recalled, 135,000 vehicles are in the United States.
