Kia unveils plug-in hybrid variants of XCeed, Ceed Sportswagon for European market
Korean automaker will begin sale of the two plug-in hybrid models early 2020
Kia Motors has unveiled the new plug-in hybrid variants of its XCeed and Ceed Sportswagen for the European market, the South Korean automaker said in a press release on 2 September. The new powertrain combines an 8.9 kWh lithium polymer-battery pack and a 44.5kW electric motor and a 1.6 L Kappa, four-cylinder gasoline direct-injection engine (GTDI), paired with a six-speed double clutch transmission (DCT).
