Porsche begins production of Taycan electric sportscar in Germany
German sportscar company completed construction of new plant in 48 months
Porsche will commence production of its all-new Taycan electric sportscar at a new facility at its Zuffenhausen site in Germany today (9 September), the company said in a press release on 6 September. Porsche completed construction of the new plant for Taycan in September 2015. The 170,000 square meter plant has a body shop, a paint shop, a factory for the production of electric motors and components, a vehicle assembly hall and a connecting transport technology.
