LeddarTech introduces Leddar Pixell 3D flash lidar for autonomous vehicles
New flash lidar features solid-state design with no moving parts and offer full coverage over 180° FOV
LeddarTech has introduced Leddar Pixell, a three-dimensional (3D) flash lidar for autonomous vehicles, the company said in a press release on 10 September. The new lidar, powered by LeddarTech’s LCA2 LeddarEngine, offers highly reliable detection of pedestrians, cyclists and other obstacles in the vehicle’s surrounding. Leddar Pixell features solid-state design with not moving parts and offers full coverage over 180° field of view (FOV). The lidar has no dead zones or blind spots generally found when using mechanical scanning lidar.
