IAA 2019: Velodyne demonstrates integration of Velarray lidar sensors in high-end vehicles
Velodyne’s lidar sensors are placed behind the windshield for flowless integration
At the IAA 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, Velodyne is displaying the integration of its Velarray lidar sensors into a premium electric vehicle, the US-based lidar supplier said in a press release on 14 September. The company’s Velarray lidar sensors are placed behind the vehicle’s windshield for flowless integration. As a result of the streamline integration, Velarray sensors does not compromise with the EV’s aerodynamic design, thanks to the lidar sensor’s small, embeddable farm factor.
