Ouster collaborates with NVIDIA to supply lidar sensor for L3 to L5 autonomous driving systems

NVIDIA will use Ouster lidar to help its automotive OEM customers deliver safe and reliable autonomous vehicles to market by 2022

Ouster is collaborating with NVIDIA to provide lidar sensors for use in SAE Level 3 to Level 5 autonomous driving systems that automakers are targeting commercial production by 2022, the company said in a press release on 18 September. The lidar perception system is based on Ouster OS2 lidar and runs on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platform which delivers 360° sensor processing, mapping and path planning.
