Waymo launches iOS app for self-driving ride-hailing service
Company completed first year of commercial self-driving ride-hailing service in Metro Phoenix area last week
Waymo has made its self-driving ride-hailing app available in Apple’s App Store, the company said in a blog last week. The move is expected to allow users of iPhone and other iOS-based devices to book and hail Waymo’s self-driving vehicle for a ride in Metro Phoenix area in Arizona, United States, using the app. Waymo had launched Android-based app at its Google Play Store in April this year.
