Volkswagen brand aims cumulative EV production of 1.5 million in 2025
VW Group’s largest brand hopes to reach earlier target of one million electric cars two year ahead
The Volkswagen brand of the Volkswagen Group (VW) has raised its electric vehicle production forecast, the German automotive group said in a press release on 27 December. Under revised forecast, the leading volume brand of the VW group aims to reach the strategic production target of one million EVs in 2023, two years ahead of original schedule. By 2025, the brand expects production to reach 1.5 million.
