MARELLI collaborates with XenomatiX to develop modular lidar system

MARELLI’S Automotive Lighting division and XenomatiX will combine their expertise to offer modular lidar systems to automotive customers

MARELLI has entered a technical and commercial development agreement with sold-state lidar supplier XenomatiX to collaborate in the field of autonomous driving, the company said in a press release today (8 Jan). As part of the agreement, XenomatiX will provide MARELLI’s Automotive Lighting division its solid-state lidar modules for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving applications. MARELLI’S Automotive Lighting division and XenomatiX will combine their expertise to offer modular lidar systems to automotive customers. The collaboration will also leverage artificial intelligence (AI) perception technology from Smart Me Up, a startup MARELLI acquired in 2018.
