Binding purchase agreement brings to an end GM’s manufacturing operations in the country

Great Wall Motor has agreed to acquire General Motors’ (GM) Talegaon plant near Pune in Maharashtra, India, Reuters reported on 17 January. The deal is expected to accelerate the Chinese automaker’s plan to build and sell vehicles in India. Great Wall expects to formally close the deal by the second half of this year.
