Toyota completes USD1.3 billion investment in modernization project at Indiana plant in US

Investment part of the Japanese automaker plans to invest USD13 billion in its US operations over a period of five years through 2021

Toyota Motor has invested an additional USD700 million and added 150 jobs to complete a modernization project at its Princeton plant in Indiana, the United States, the automaker said in a press release on 17 January. According to the Japanese automaker, the modernization project at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. (TMMI) represents a total investment of USD1.3 billion, used in areas such as retooling, new equipment installation and advanced manufacturing technologies to further modernize the plant. The modernization project added 550 jobs at the plant.
