The new single channel pulsed laser features improved beam quality and compact dimensions

Osram Opto Semiconductors has developed a new 65-watt infrared laser SPL DP90_3 for short range lidar applications, the company said in a press release on 2 February. The new single channel pulsed laser features improved beam quality and compact dimensions. The laser with an optical output of 65 watts at 20A is suited for capturing the immediate vehicle surroundings and ensuring high resolution images for subsequent systems.
