The government has committed to co-funding over 1,000 chargers in the country, of which 600 are operational

The New Zealand government has announced additional funding to ramp up electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country, Beehive.govt.nz reported on 18 February. The government approved a total of 21 projects that would see the installation of up to 110 EV chargers in more than 20 areas in the country including Levin, Nelson, New Plymouth, Oamaru, and Tauranga.
