The company says an extension of closure beyond 2 March will cause production disruption at FCA, Renault, BMW, and Peugeot

MTA Advanced Automotive Solutions has suspended manufacturing operations at its plant in Codogno, Italy due to the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, the company said in a press release on 25 February. MTA was forced to close operations at its Codogno plant after local authorities ordered factories in Codogno and nine nearby towns to suspend non-essential activities to help prevent the spread of virus. Codogno town in Lombardy, northern Italy, has become the center of COVID-19 outbreak, with reports of 370 confirmed cases and 9 deaths. The authorities have also prevented people from entering and leaving the town.
