POLICY: China’s MIIT seeks public opinion on Taxonomy of Driving Automation for Vehicles
New Taxonomy will become effective from 1 January 2021
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is seeking public opinion on the proposed “Taxonomy of Driving Automation for Vehicles,” Gasgoo reported on 10 March. The draft document will be available for to the public until 9 April 2020. Once fully approved, China’s own standard system for autonomous driving will become effective from 1 January 2021.
