The German automaker cancelled two shifts at its Portuguese plant on Monday due to a shortage of workers

German automaker VW has reduced production at its Autoeuropa car assembly plant near Lisbon, Portugal, by 16% due to a shortage of workers after the Portugal government ordered restrictive measures to prevent spread of the COVID-19 disease, Reuters reported the plant saying in statement on Monday (16 March).
